Mughal Legacy in J & K

The history of Mughal Empire is well documented and Kashmir which once formed an integral part of this empire, its Mughal period also stands well established. There are plenty of historical accounts and other literatures available to the readers about the political history of this period. But still there are several aspects of Mughal legacy which have been left unexplored. Apart from their political history and garden construction, the Mughal architectural heritage, their historic route with its links, Inns, Mughal Coins and Inscriptions had not been explored and documented.
